This is one of those hybrid SciFi/Horror combination movies. We start off with 2 guys traveling to Russia on a business trip. After a meeting they decide to go to a club to blow off some steam. While at the club a weird power outage happens and strange things start falling from the sky.
They are extraterrestrial beings, but there's a catch. They are unseen to the naked eye. The only way they can tell if they are around is that anything electronic in the area starts going crazy, or if you shoot at them, you can catch glimpses of them.
At one point, the two guys, and some people they escaped the club with start venturing the city trying to survive and find a way home. They end up stumbling upon a girl and a scientist who has discovered you can fight them with a microwave gun he created. (Sounds cheesy, I know, but it's pretty cool)
This is a great movie for fans of SciFi, Alien, or horror movies. It is creepy in parts, and is a great struggle for survival. I did not see this movie in 3D, however, unlike most 3D movies, it wasn't a total gimmick. There is actually a good plot and good action, not just random shit to look cool in 3D. The cheesy poster art (posted at the top of this post) also doesn't do it justice. A good case of not judging a book (or movie in this case) by it's cover.
