Otis was apparently a loser all of his life, so he kidnaps girls and keeps them captive, making them re-enact moments he missed out on in his life such as dating and prom.
Otis seems to be happy as he kidnaps Riley, just a regular girl with a seemingly regular family. At one point though, Riley escapes and makes it back home.
When she gets home her family while happy to see her, is furious about what was done to her and decide to leave the law out of it and take matters into their own hands.
As I said, this is a very fun movie, with great revenge. Part of what makes this movie so good is the excellent job by the cast. You have Kevin Pollock, Daniel Stern of the 'Home Alone' and 'City Slickers' movies as the dad, Illeana Douglas of 'Stir Of Echoes' and 'Six Feet Under' as the mom, and Riley is played by played by Ashley Johnson who you might remember as the little redhead girl in 'Growing Pains' and 'All American Girl'.
An interesting tidbit from the movie, I dunno if the director or one of the set designers was gay, or if it is implied that Otis' brother Elmo was gay, but as Riley escapes the house, there is clear view of a car in the driveway with a leather pride flag. I just found that interesting.
Definitely check this movie out though. It's a great one for some good laughs with some friends.
