Done as a fake documentary, this movie has definite suspense. It starts off with a family getting together for Thanksgiving. Early in the evening the power goes out. While going out to check the breaker, the 3 brothers see a strange light in the distance. They go to investigate it and see a UFO with aliens around it. They run back to the house and the aliens follow. Weird events start occurring from this point on. Considering this movie was made in 1998, before Blair Witch Project was released, it was done very well. The acting is pretty good, it keeps your interest throughout, and has a creepy ending. There is also some humor in it. Early on they discuss the mother drinking too much, and if you pay attention, she has a wine glass in her hand just about the entire movie.
All in all it was a pretty good flick, I just wish they would have done it as strictly footage and kept out the occasional brief 'interview' spots. I definitely recommend it for fans of Alien or Found Footage movies.
